We're well into August now and there are just a handful of festivals left to see us through the last of summer's days. And with the weather keeping us on our toes, it pays to be prepared when it comes to your festival wardrobe. Before we know it, we'll be in full blown festival madness when it feels like every weekend is filled with some sort of outdoor music event and your wardrobe will need consideration. You need to look stylish, comfortable and also as if they're prepared for what is essentially a big wet stag do with lots of music in the background

Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to wear hotpants, nor do you have to wear one of those natty floral headbands. What you will need is a warm jacket (unless you're festivaling on sunnier shores, in which case just a good pair of sunglasses will do); a slouchy jumper and a hardy pair of shorts. You need to be able to dance as energetically as Mick Jagger and walk for miles without getting wet feet or being in pain.

We're hoping the sun will be shining this weekend. And if it is, this is the dress we'll be wearing. Going to a festival is a test of endurance; your festival 'wardrobe' if you go as far to call it that, should be a survival kit - essentials to make the experience easier. If you think about what you're wearing once you're there, you're not having enough fun. If your shoes or dress cross your mind once when you're inside those festival gates, walk to the nearest bar or fun fair immediately.

The perfect denim-cut offs; the suede jacket that will keep you warm when day turns to night; durable, but stylish footwear ideal for dancing; and the dress that will make you feel as carefree as an inebriated Seventies hippy - we've got it all covered.
Let festival season commence.
